Meet Our Team

I especially love working with young adults who are going through some of life's toughest terrain: navigating the impact of past trauma, moving through grief and loss, or trying to find their way through major life transitions. I view healing as a dynamic, relational process—non-linear but deeply rooted in the inherent worth and resilience of every person. I love using EMDR, IFS, and somatic approaches shaped by my background in dance, yoga, and movement so that I can incorporate experiential, body-based approaches that honor the wisdom of the body.

A little bit about professional me….

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade teaching movement in its many forms: creative movement, modern dance, yoga, and somatic practices. This experience profoundly shaped my understanding of the stories our bodies hold and the intricate connection between mind and body. My passion for helping others led me to pursue a master’s degree in social work at the University of Utah, where I trained to support individuals in their healing journeys.

In addition to my role as a therapist, I work as an oncology social worker, supporting patients and families navigating cancer. I’ve also served as an advocate and peer counselor at a domestic abuse and sexual assault agency, deepening my commitment to creating safe spaces for healing and growth.

    Outside of the office…

You can find me on hiking trails, dancing in the studio, or flowing on a yoga mat. At home, I love curling up with a good book and my orange tabby, Mylo, who’s always happy to join me for a quiet moment of rest.

I believe the process of opening up to our experience in a safe and supportive container is courageous and truly has the potential to change lives.

I enjoy working with adults who have a sense, sometimes clear and sometimes hard to put into words, that they want their lives to be different. Often this may look like working with past traumas and difficult situations, exploring patterns, or working with underlying beliefs and feelings related to attachment, depression, anxiety, and existential issues.

At the heart of my therapeutic style is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which invites a stance of openness, curiosity, and compassion toward what's happening inside you. By cultivating the capacity to tolerate and accept what is happening in our minds and bodies, it is then possible to support meaningful and lasting change. I also will incorporate other approaches to best meet your needs such as Cognitive Processing Therapy and Internal Family Systems.

While feeling better is often a primary goal, I like to consider how larger themes such as agency, contentedness, and meaning can be worked with too.

A little bit about professional me…

I have arrived as a therapist through traditional yoga and Vedanta, which I’ve been practicing for a decade.  After getting my 200 and 300 hour teacher training certificates, I decided to go back to graduate school to get a Masters in Social work.  I was drawn to social work training, as opposed to mental health counseling and psychology because of its emphasis on “person-in-environment” and the bio-psycho-social model that acknowledges the role that our family, friends, and broader cultural  environments play in shaping much of our lives.   In addition to clinical social work, I have taught yoga, breathwork, and meditation, and continue to offer workshops from time to time.

I’m also interested in the future applications of psychedelic-assisted therapy as it becomes federally approved, as it seems to activate similar states of being that long-term meditation practices can elicit. These states are able to promote durable, positive changes when done thoughtfully with preparation and integration.

    Outside of the office…

When not working, I enjoy balancing slow-paced living of reading, playing guitar, and family-friend time with being active.  Some sports hobbies include trail running, yoga, snowboarding, and tennis.

I specialize in working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ adults navigating complex trauma, burnout, and attachment wounds. In our work together, we’ll help you move from survival mode and performance to building a life rooted in their authentic self. I believe therapy doesn’t always have to be so serious (though there will be times!) My approach to therapy is rooted in connection, curiosity, and compassion with the understanding that every journey is unique. Together, we’ll reconnect with the parts of yourself that may feel lost or hidden.

I see the impact that trauma has on our mental well-being and the complex way that it presents in the way we should up in the world. Through EMDR and IFS I help my clients create new associations with traumatic experiences, leading to fewer overwhelming symptoms and more room to breath.

A little bit about professional me…

I have a background in social work, graduating from the University of Utah with my Master of Social Work degree. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a deep sense of empathy and commitment to social justice, along with supporting individuals in mental health settings. I’ve had the pleasure in working in local non-profits focusing on suicide prevention in action sports with Somebody’s Thinking About You and working with individuals experiencing homelessness.

    Outside of the office…

I have many parts of me! Some days it’s playing in the mountains on a bike, my two feet, a snowboard, or learning to golf. If I’m not playing in Salt Lake, I love to travel with my friends and family as much as I can. And last but not least, I’ll be at home, living slowly reading a book or watching an A24 flick with my partner and our two cats Frank and Luna <3
